Near Lovina Bali

The private villa is located on a 10-minute drive from Lovina Beach, the most famous seaside resort in the north of Bali. Lovina is a wonderful destination for a beach holiday during your Bali holiday. It is also a fantastic base to discover the north of Bali. The glistening black sand with traditional fishing boats makes Lovina beach very special.

Lovina - Beach

Lovina is the most famous place in the north of Bali with shops, restaurants, bars with live music, supermarkets and ATMs. It is a lively place, with a cosy beach, where several traditional fishing boats are moored.

buddhist monastery

The only Buddhist monastery in Bali is called the Brahma Vihara Ashrama. It is known for its beautiful murals, golden artworks and statues. It is beautifully hidden in the hills and can be reached within 5 minutes from the villa.

Fruit-Market

Seririt is about 10 minutes' drive west of the villa. It is an authentic market place where you can buy fresh regional produce. This is one of the many markets where the staff gets fresh products every day.

fishing villages

Both left and right of the villa are several traditional fishing villages with beautifully coloured boats. The residents here still live quite traditionally and make their living entirely from fishing. From the villa, the villages are easy to reach via a beach walk.

Lovina - rice fields

There are several rice fields around the villa. These are very impressive and photogenic. You can reach the rice fields in the area on foot, by scooter or mountain bike. The most beautiful ones, draped on hills, are near Ubud and Munduk.

Singaraja - city

The nearest large city 15 kilometres from the villa is Singaraja. It is the former capital of Bali and some warehouses still remind of the time when the Dutch lived here. A famous building of the town is the Gedong Kirtya library.

Ubud - Culture & rice fields

Ubud is the religious and cultural centre of Bali. Many national and international artists have settled here. You can visit galleries, furniture and souvenir shops, but above all, you can eat and enjoy traditional dance, music and rice fields.

Buyan & Bratan - Temple

Buyan and Bratan are volcanic lakes located on the road to Denpasar. The famous Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple is located here and the town of Bedugul where many fresh fruits are sold on the market. On the way, you pass several monkey colonies eagerly awaiting some tasty nuts.

Gunung Batur - Vulcano

The Gunung Batur is the highest mountain in Bali. The volcano is 1,717 metres high and is located in the north-east of Bali. It is a holy mountain that has an important place in Balinese Hinduism. There is a large crater lake and the last eruption was in 1917.
