What to do in Lovina?

Lovina is a popular seaside town in Northern Bali but much quieter than the touristy South. It is the perfect place to experience the local Balinese culture and to discover the north of Bali. Thanks to the shallow lagoon and the calm currents, you can swim and snorkel here safely.

It is also a great place for beginner divers and from Lovina you can spot dolphins. For those who love the delicious Indonesian food, there are restaurants with freshly caught fish! Look below for more trips in the area!

Dolphin watching - Lovina Beach

The boat trip starts and ends at the beach of our holiday villa. Early in the morning you will be picked up by boat and the trip takes about 2 hours. Dolphins are almost always found and this trip at sea is one of the most fun activities in Lovina Beach.

Mountainbike - rice fields

The mountain bike tour starts and ends in the garden of the villa. You can choose between easy or challenging routes where you cycle through nature, rice fields and local villages. During a break, you can enjoy local delicacies at the Indonesian family of the instructor.

Snorkeling & Diving - Menjangan

Near the villa and at Lovina Beach are small reefs where there are many beautiful fish. It is the ideal place to discover the underwater world of Bali. Further away is Menjangan Island, a nature reserve with large reefs, an enormous diversity of fish and coral and diving schools.

Hot Springs - Banjar

Banjar Hot Springs or Air Panas Banjar are hot springs located in the hills at walking distance from the villa. The three baths are located in a beautiful tropical garden and contain medicinal hot water of about 35 degrees.

Rafting - Ubud

The most famous rivers are the Ayung River near Ubud, the Telaga Waja River and Unda River. These rivers are situated around the Gunung Agung volcano. For the real adventurers, there is a route with a 4-metre high waterfall! On Bali you can raft all year round.

Waterfalls - Gigit

Gigit is the highest waterfall in Bali with a height of 45 to 80 metres. The waterfall is about a half hour drive from the villa and is located in a tropical rainforest. At the entrance you will find all kinds of stalls with clothes and fruit.

National Park - Bali Barat

In the tropical forest there is a large national park where you can admire many birds, iguanas and other animals of the tropics. You can also go on guided walks or dive at one of the many coral reefs near the coast.

Golf Club - Handara Kosaido

The Handara Koseido Golf & Country Club is one of the top 5 courses in Asia. The golf course is a one-hour drive away and is situated in the mountains near the town of Bedugul. Due to the altitude, the temperature here is moderate, making it pleasant to play golf.

Spring pool - Air Sanih

The Air Sanih springs are located on the road east of Singaraja. Despite the name, it is not really a hot spring but a natural pool with water from the mountains. On the weekends, it can be very busy with local visitors.
